Match the Load, Sensors and Installation

Heating Load

Calculate the connected load from the heating equipment’s rated power and supply voltage. For a resistive load, current is approximately power divided by voltage.

A 16A rating does not permit unlimited heating area or the same wattage at every voltage. Larger loads may require an appropriately designed contactor arrangement.

Room and Floor Sensing

The built-in sensor measures room temperature. An external probe measures temperature at its installed floor location and supports configured floor-temperature control or limitation.

For replacement projects, verify the existing probe’s resistance curve and compatibility. Two probes marked “10k” are not necessarily interchangeable.

Installation Conditions

Check the available supply, neutral connection, terminal capacity, wall-box depth and mounting centres. WiFi connectivity provides communication; it does not remove the need for electrical wiring.

Have a qualified installer verify the circuit and wiring before commissioning.
