TPX08-RF 8-Zone 868MHz Wireless Wiring Centre for Hydronic Underfloor Heating
The TOUPWELL TPX08-RF is an 8-zone wireless wiring centre designed for multi-zone hydronic underfloor heating and radiator heating systems. It is wireless with compatible
TP608RF-TR wireless room thermostat and provides 230VAC outputs for thermal actuators or zone valves.Up to 6 actuators can be connected to each zone
When a thermostat calls for heat, the corresponding zone output is activated automatically. Depending on the configured heating zone, the TPX08-RF can also control the boiler,
circulation pump and manifold valve. Dedicated hot-water control and volt-free boiler changeover contacts provide greater flexibility for different heating system configurations.
Operating on 868MHz RF communication, the unit reduces thermostat wiring requirements and offers a practical centralized control solution for residential and light commercial
heating installations.

Wireless Zone Control
Each paired thermostat can be assigned to one of the eight heating zones. When heating is requested, the wiring centre supplies a 230VAC output to the
corresponding zone actuator and activates the relevant heat-source output.
Pump Delay Protection
Many thermal actuators and zone valves require time to open. The selectable pump-delay function delays the pump and boiler outputs for approximately
three minutes, helping prevent the boiler from operating against closed valves.
Pump and Valve Exercise
During periods when heating is rarely used, the system can operate the pump and valve for five minutes each month. This helps prevent the components
from becoming stuck after long periods of inactivity. This function does not activate the boiler output.
Engineer Test Mode
Built-in engineer test switches allow installers to test the zone actuators, pump, boiler and hot-water outputs before the wireless thermostats are fully
installed and paired.

FAQ
Q1. How many heating zones can the TPX08-RF control?
The TPX08-RF can control up to 8 independent heating zones or loops. Each zone has an individual LED indicator for checking its operating status.
Q2. Which thermostat is compatible with the TPX08-RF?
The wiring centre is designed for use with the TP608RF-TR wireless thermostat.
Q3. What wireless frequency does it use?
The TPX08-RF uses 868MHz RF communication.
Q4. Can it be used for both underfloor heating and radiator zones?
Yes. Each wireless thermostat can be configured for either a radiator heating zone or an underfloor heating zone. For an UFH zone, the wiring centre can also activate the pump and manifold-valve outputs.
Q5. Can it control a boiler?
Yes. It provides a volt-free boiler output with changeover contacts, supporting both heat-on and heat-off signals.
Q6. Does it control the circulation pump?
Yes. A dedicated output is included for the underfloor heating manifold pump. The system also offers an optional three-minute delay before the pump and boiler start.
Q7. Why is the pump-delay function useful?
Thermal actuators and valves can take more than two minutes to open. The delay gives them time to open before the pump and boiler start, reducing the possibility of boiler lockout or operation against closed valves.
Q8. Does it provide hot-water control?
Yes. The TPX08-RF has a dedicated H/W output that can provide hot-water on and hot-water off signals for controlling a suitable valve.
Q9. Can installers test the system without connecting all thermostats?
Yes. Engineer test switches allow the installer to test individual zones, actuators, the pump, the boiler and the hot-water output without installing the thermostats first. All test switches must be returned to the OFF position after commissioning.
Q10. How are wireless thermostats paired with the wiring centre?
The installer enters pairing mode using the SW2 button, selects the required zone from 1 to 8, and then places the thermostat into pairing mode. The corresponding LED confirms successful communication. Pairing mode exits automatically if no signal is received for two minutes.
