FAQ
Q1. What heating systems can the TP608RF-TR-ZB control?
It can be configured for either radiator heating or hydronic underfloor heating. When UFH mode is selected, the compatible wiring centre can also activate its pump output with a three-minute delay.
Q2. Which wiring centre is compatible with this thermostat?
The thermostat is designed for use with the TPX08-RF wireless wiring centre.
Q3. How does the thermostat communicate with the wiring centre?
It uses 868MHz RF communication to send heating commands to the TPX08-RF wiring centre.
Q4. How is the thermostat powered?
It is powered by two AA batteries, making it suitable for wireless installations without a mains power cable at the thermostat location.
Q5. Can users temporarily change the temperature during a schedule?
Yes. A temporary temperature override can be made during Program mode. The thermostat returns to the preset schedule at the beginning of the next programmed period.
Q6. Does it have a child lock?
Yes. The thermostat includes a button-lock function. Depending on the configuration, all buttons can be locked or the power button can remain available.
Q7. What happens when the batteries are low?
A low-battery symbol appears when battery power drops to approximately 10%. When the batteries are nearly exhausted, the symbol flashes and RF communication may stop, indicating that the batteries should be replaced immediately.
Q8. Does it provide anti-freeze protection?
Yes. When anti-freeze protection is enabled, heating switches on when the detected room temperature falls to approximately 5°C and switches off when it reaches approximately 8°C.
