4. What wall box size do I need for installation?

Most room thermostats fit standard 86mm × 86mm single-gang pattress boxes (common in China, UK, and Asia) and European 60mm round boxes. Always check the product dimensions and mounting hole spacing (typically 60mm center-to-center) before purchasing.

5. How deep does the back box need to be?

Standard thermostats require a minimum back box depth of approximately 40–50mm. The TP528 series, for example, has a rear depth of 39.5mm plus the front plate thickness of 13.7mm. For shallow walls, check the product's rear protrusion dimension before ordering.

6. Can I install the thermostat myself?

While the physical installation involves only three steps (mount back plate, connect wires, clip on thermostat body), the electrical wiring should be handled by a qualified electrician.
