1.What is the maximum power my thermostat can handle?

For electric heating, a 16A-rated thermostat can handle up to approximately 3,500W at 220V (or 3,680W at 230V). For water heating and gas boilers, 

the 5A relay handles up to approximately 1,100W — more than sufficient for circulator pumps and boiler control circuits.
